How to Stay Informed

The foundation of a responsive democracy lies in an informed and involved community.  Being knowledgeable about pending legislation and providing our input to our elected officials before it becomes law, is the most effective way to influence its content and its impact on the people we serve and our careers.   

The legislative body is in session from early January to May of each year.  Use the link below to find the state senator and state representative for your district using this website.

Now comes the most important part. Get informed, then stay informed as legislation moves through the process of potentially becoming law.  Give your representatives the benefit of your first-hand, real-life experience. This can often provide a perspective that they are not getting from others.  We encourage you to explore the Https://leg.colorado.gov website to learn more about the legislative schedule, bills, and updates.
